Review: Only Half Alive by Konstanz Silverbow

The World's darkest creature will be their brightest hope!

While darkness haunts her, she craves the light. Christina is a demon, but she doesn't want to be. She is willing to sacrifice everything to change it. Only one person stands in her way, and he will stop at nothing to keep her the way she is.

The greatest battle of light vs dark threatens every living creature, a battle that could destroy all. And the demon in love will only have one chance to save everyone.

I truly enjoyed reading this story about a girl wanting to be more than darkness, she wanted to be light. Quite impossible when you’re a demon. Or so one would think.

I believe in soulmates, in your one true love. I also know that just because you’ve found the right one, it isn’t just kisses, sunshine and rainbows.

This story is about darkness, light, love, loss, hope and fear. It is a story about believing in who (and what) you are, to accept the person you are and live your life.

For seventeen years Christina has been alone, believing she was evil. In a very short time span, she discovers more truths about her life, herself and her family – and finds her soulmate.  Honestly, it would most likely drive anyone insane.

But Christina isn’t allowed to enjoy what she has before everything is ripped away from her again, but this time she is ready to go to war to get back what is hers.

The story flows easily, and I did enjoy reading it. I’ll have to admit that I was getting to a point where I was getting tired of all the tears. I understood why, but at the same time, I just wanted her to stop crying every damn page. That is my main complaint really. All those tears. Not that I don’t understand why she keeps crying, but at the same time… It got to be too much.

There is also a little about Christina and Finn’s “shared” past. I was actually afraid that would run in the wrong direction, but luckily Konstanz closes it before it can be too awkward. Well done. Had she chosen to push it a bit further, it would’ve ruined too much, in my opinion.

Otherwise a good, interesting plot, characters that was likeable, the story flowed good without major hick-ups.

Konstanz Silverbow has always been a dreamer . . . but not a writer. Being an author was something she was dragged into. But since that day, she hasn't stopped. It has become more than a hobby, it is a passion.

During the day Konstanz works, making jewelry, playing the violin, collecting dragons, and learning all she can about medieval weapons. But at night she creates made up worlds and places where those dragons come to life and the weapons are used in battle."

Young adult fantasy, paranormal with a dash of romance author, Konstanz Silverbow; Proud Creator of magical worlds, fictional creatures, ideal super heroes and sarcasm since 2007!
